Digital Literacy


  1. Reflect on your experiences as a student learning one of your subjects in high school. Give examples of the different types of digital literacy strategies (encoding/decoding) that you were required to use.  How effective was your teacher’s use of visuals in enhancing the learning in your class?  Refer to some of the guidelines and principles that we read about in Chapter 8.

  In my school, it was not so effective because of the undeveloped technology in that days. So we
were using some basic things during the lessons in my high school as a visual. We had an
computer but the teacher was not using it. Our lessons orientation was teacher centered and 
most of them was using oral communication to tell us what was the days' subject. So I don't
I dont have a good background about the digital literacy in my high scholl.


But in the future, when I start teaching , I will use some innovative techniques in my classes to
show new things and to teach the instruction effectively. I think these new things also will attract
my students attention. For example, using the mobile phones and tablets during the class can 
 be a good example of my techniques.Because it will help me to present more information to the
 class and gaining more times.
